How should I remember you?

How should I remember you?

How often do you spend your life chasing things you do not really want? Seek after people who perhaps, in the end, do not matter? You are in jobs you do not like. In relationships, you are unsure where it’s headed.

You are living without really living, existing without being ALIVE.

Going through the motions every day, giving yourselves every excuse why you cannot do this, you cannot do that.

You are failing to take a chance, because it’s just more comfortable to remain afraid, locked in fear of trying, fear of launching out, stepping out, reaching out, fear of taking a risk, a chance.

No, you would instead prefer to remain in that prison mindset than be set free to the world of dreams, visions, passions, uncertainty,  but hopes and possible gains. You are afraid to see your truth, feel your truth, tell your truths and live your truths.

You would rather live the rest of your lives in societal, religious, political bondage than challenge the norm because to challenge the standard will demand too much courage, and you are too lazy, too dignified in your self-denials and hopelessness to be courageous. You cannot be powerful because all you know is to be pitiful.

You would rather be lied to and accept those lies as truth and live a mediocre life, telling yourselves you are doing what you are supposed to be doing when deep down you know it’s all a lie.

You do not want to challenge your mind: no it is too much hard work.  You are content being fed sheepish content and calling it wisdom.

You want to remain where you are, yet claim you want success.

You read all books on success, the biographies, inspiring articles and you take no action!

You experience or hear about a loss, and you decide ‘hmm indeed life is short, you would do things differently from today’. But, you never make a move from where you are.

You still sit in that same seat every day, every night. You never rise to your feet and take a step. When will you?

You are sad. Unhappy. But continue in the same way.

What new result do you plan to achieve doing things in the same old ways?

The truth is, tomorrow, I may never be, you may never be, what does today have to say about you? What do you want today to speak concerning you tomorrow?

If the old way is not working, DROP IT.

If the old way is not you, REDISCOVER you.

If the old way has been an old wives tale, seek the TRUTH.

Whatever you do, make sure you LIVE TODAY authentically as you, so that when you lay to rest, you rest happy and fulfilled.

And when we read and speak about you, where ever you may be in the hereafter, you are proverbially smiling because you made your life exactly what you wanted it to be!

Thanks again Abi, well that’s what I was thinking whether as society people should be encouraged to pursue their vision or whether society should determine what people dream of because of that threat of bad intentions.

Thank you Abi, it answers my question and brings up another which is what we want . Should everyone be encouraged to seek their vision or dream, I’m thinking about people who have bad intentions?

Hi, again Fletcher. How do you know who have good or bad intentions? Only their actions will tell you what their plans ever was. Should only some people be encouraged to seek to achieve their visions or dreams? Who and what determines who can and who cannot? As human beings we are guarded by an innate moral compass…even the worst of the worst is aware that deep down within him somewhere that what he is doing wrong. However, to clarify in my post when I refer to dreams and visions I refer to positive goals. If what I plan to achieve is going to hurt anyone, then it can’t be a good goal. And if what I intend to achieve is that negative, then one must ask what is my motivation, what underlying issues are there?

      Hope that answers your question.

Hi Fletcher. Thank you very much for your comment. To answer your question, a person’s dream/vision is and should be an expression of themselves. If for any reason we are not living the life we want because of what others might think, and not simply as a decision of our will and what we are happy with, then I don’t believe one is being their authentic self.

      Hope this answers your question.
